• Tips:

    • MULTI-USE ITEMS: Items that have multiple uses can be recharged by placeing them in storage and withdrawing them.
    • Use For Binoculars: The binoculars are obtained by recruiting Ivanov from Milich's Scarletecia and giving him all the different colors of paint he needs to finish his mural. Once the mural is complete, he will show his gratitude by giving you the party item "Binoculars." At any time in a normal battle, use the second controller to manipulate the camera angle. Below are pics of the Triangle Button, Square Button, no buttons, Circle Button, and X Button, respectively.

  • Money Tricks:

    • Win Big With Marco's Game: A good way to come up with some easy cash in the game is to visit Marco (originally found in Rockland), who will challenge you to a game. It is easy enough if you bet small sums of money, but as the stakes rise so does the difficulty. Fortunately, the pattern does not.

      Marco actually uses two distinct patterns! It is random which pattern is used, however. Bet a small amount (100 bits) if you are not sure which the next cup will be.

      The patterns below work for some people. BE CAUTIONED, however, that your individual patterns may vary. Find the patterns out on your own by betting small amounts, then jotting them down. Remember, the pattern does NOT change as your bet increases!

      Unfortunatly, once Marco is recruited, there appears to be no pattern.

      L=Left cup
      M=Middle cup
      R=Right cup

      M, L, M, L, R, R, L, L, M, L
      M, L, R, M, R, L, R, M, M, M

    • This is a REALLY good trick for LOTS of bits. Go to Marco get 20,000 bits and bet 10,000 bits. Pick any cup, ANY cup then remember the cup that held the coin then quit and then play again. Bet 10,000 bits and pick the cup that had the coin the last time and YOU WIN! You can do this over and over just don't leave the town or you'll have to find the next cup with the coin and do it again. You can find the pattern up to a fairly high number while betting 100 bits, and then use that same pattern again with 10,000 bits. You can't do this later when Marco joins your party.

    • Withdraw as many Goldlets as you can, the number woun't decrease in inventory. Now you can equip them or sell them for 9,500 a piece.

    • First off, when you start the game in the Emperors palace, don't talk to your father, instead walk down the stairs, and into the room next to Kraze's office, the one with two suits of armour in it, go up to them and examine them (button X) the first one says "shiny armour", when you examine the furthest one from the door, it says "shiny armour... But wait... Found 100 bits" you get the bits.

    • When playing Gaspar's game, the more luck you have in your party, the more chance you have of winning, so if you need money get all your characters with high luck in your party and then play the game.

  • Special Scenes:

    • Sansuke's Sauna
      Special scenes may be found when taking a bath in Sansuke's Sauna if you have the proper antiques. Don't stay in too long or your party will turn red!

    • Have Clive in your party then look at the tombstones in the back-left in Rockland.
    • Have Krin in your party and talk to the guy in Lenankamp in the inn's second floor to your right.
    • Have Meg in your party then enter the house on the left in Lenankamp.
    • It's Rumored to Have Clive in your party at Seek Valley something will happen.
    • Have Flik in your party and go to the Warrior's Village, and talk to the guy next to the building in the top-right corner.
    • If you don't have enough money (200 bits) to pay for Vincent de Boule's meal in Antei when you're about to go to the Dragon's Den, the Hero, Flik, and Humphrey have to wash the owner's dishes. If you have more than 200 bits, just lost it all to Gaspar first.
    • Read Characters' Diaries :At the very beginning of the game, when you're in Gregminster, go into your house. Go into Cleo's room. She has a bureau with books on it. Go up to the books and press X. The message "Cleo's diary...locked", will come up. Then go into Pahn's room and do the same thing. His either says "Pahn's diary...locked", or he wrote the menu from last night's dinner (go figure). What his says really depends on when you read the diary, if you read it before you eat, it's locked. But if you read it after he eats, it has the menu. You can also go into Sonya Shulen's house ( next to Teo's house) and you can read her diary (it just says some stuff about Teo being gone). If you read the Hero's diary, you can save your game.

  • "Special" Ending

    Simply recruit all the 108 Stars of Destiny. All characters MUST be alive, however, and that includes Pahn and Gremio.

    How to Revive Gremio In order to revive Gremio, you simply have to recruit all the other 108 Stars of Destiny before the final [Army vs. Army] battle versus Yuber's troops and keep them alive. That means that you cannot lose characters during a major battle and you cannot lose Pahn. Read on to find out how to save Pahn.

    Requirements:

    • All characters (107, not counting Gremio) must be alive
    • All characters must be recruited BEFORE final battle
    As your troops prepare for the final battle against Yuber's Army, all the characters will gather for a meeting. Leknaat will appear, and, if the above criteria are met, she will summon the power of the Stars of Destiny to revive Gremio.

    How to Save Pahn:

    About midway through the game, Pahn is forced to confront his former master, General Teo. Teo is very strong, and Pahn has an excellent chance of losing and being out of the game forever. There is no way to revive any dead characters except for Gremio.

    Pahn will face Teo in a one-on-one battle. Basically, the best strategy to survive the battle is to merely level up Pahn as much as possible (about lvl. 30-35), equip him with the best armor you can find, and level up his weapon as much as you can, and keep Defending. A more sure and efficient method makes use of the table provided below: (*note* When Teo does a desperate attack and you defend, Pahn will counter and cause Teo damage. When he attacks, you should still defend, but you won't cause him any damage, and when he defends, just attack. You'll cause him damage but he won't cause any to you.)

    "Impossible! Take that!"Desperate AttackDefend
    "If you don't attack, I will!"Desperate AttackDefend
    "The next one will be more painful."Desperate AttackDefend
    "My sword is the Emperor's sword. No mercy, Pahn!"Desperate AttackDefend
    "My killer blade..."Desperate AttackDefend
    "The numbness in my hands, it's real."AttackDefend
    "Is that all you've got? Now it's my turn!"AttackDefend
    "All you can do is defend yourself, Pahn? No mercy!"AttackDefend
    "Pretty good, Pahn."AttackDefend
    "My sword's not rusty yet."AttackDefend
    "Get serious, Pahn. This is how it's done."AttackDefend
    "Did you see me coming?"AttackDefend
    "I'm losing my cool. Better be careful."DefendAttack
    "Strike me, Pahn!"DefendAttack
    "You're a smart one, Pahn."DefendAttack
    "Good work, Pahn. I'll have to be more careful."DefendAttack
    "Come one, Pahn. See if you can kill me."DefendAttack
    "I'll see that coming next time!"DefendAttack

    Here's something else to try: It is possible to get Teo to do more Desperate Attacks! Use this trick, and simply keep defending against Teo's attacks, and you should emerge victorious!

    • Say "Yes" the first time Mathiu asks if you are ready to fight your father.
    • In the battle with Teo's army use magic all three times.
    • When Pahn asks you for permission to fight Teo, keeping saying, "I'll see you later" until Mathiu intervenes and tells you that you have more important things to attend to.
    • Wish Pahn good luck.
